MODULE 1: General Anatomy7 video lessons (01hr 54m 28s )

  • JOINTS 1 +

    • In this eLearning module, you will learn about Joints-I. Joints are the areas where 2 or more bones meet. Joints can be classified either histologically on the dominant type of connective tissue functionally based on the amount of movement permitted. The three main types of joints are, synovial, cartilaginous and fibrous.

  • BONES 2 +

    • In this eLearning module you will learn about Bones- II. Bone is living tissue that makes up the bodys skeleton. There are 3 types of bone tissue, compact tissue, cancellous tissue, subchondral tissue. They are responsible for somatic rigidity, storage of different micronutrients, and housing bone marrow.

  • MUSCULAR TISSUE +

    • In this eLearning module, you will learn about Muscular Tissue. Muscle tissue is composed of cells that have the special ability to shorten or contract in order to produce movement of the body parts. Muscle tissue can be divided functionally, is it under voluntary or involuntary control; and morphologically, striated or non-striated. Muscle tissue is classified into three types according to structure and function: skeletal, cardiac, and smooth.

  • NERVOUS SYSTEM +

    • In this eLearning module, you will learn about Nervous System. The nervous system can be termed as major controlling, regulatory, and communicating system in the body. It controls complicated processes like movement, thought and memory. Fibers called nerves carry important messages back and forth between your body and your brain.

  • SKIN & FASCIA +

    • In this eLearning module, you will learn about Skin & Fascia. The human skin is the outer covering of the body. It continuous and covers the body as well as protect the deep tissues. In humans, it is the largest organ of the integumentary system. Fascia is made up of sheets of connective tissue that is found below the skin. Fascia can be classified as superficial, deep, visceral, or parietal and further classified according to anatomical location

  • LYMPHATIC SYSTEM +

    • In this eLearning module, you will learn about Lymphatic System. The lymphatic system is a system of specialized vessels and organs whose main function is to return the lymph from the tissues back into the bloodstream. The function of lymphatic system are to maintain the balance of fluid between the blood and tissues, known as fluid homeostasis. It forms a vital part of the body’s immune defence.

  • GENERAL FEATURES OF CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM +

    • In this eLearning module, you will learn about General features of CVS. The cardiovascular system consists of the heart, which is a muscular pumping device, and a closed system of vessels called arteries, veins, and capillaries. It has a very important function in getting oxygen and nutrients to your entire body and removing waste. It is sometimes called the blood-vascular, or simply the circulatory, system.
